This fall, GreenHere is offering a broad variety of native and fruit trees, free! To be eligible for the project homeowners must: - Be residents of Davenport West, (Bloor St. and Davenport Rd. from the Junction Rail Corridor to Christie St. or between Davenport Rd. and St. Clair Ave. West from Old Western Rd. to Dufferin St) to Keelesdale. (St.Clair Ave West to Eglington Ave. West, from McRoberts Ave to the CNR CPR tracks.) - Have backyard lawn space of at least 4m x 4m for the tree - Be able to water, mulch, and prune the tree to ensure the tree reaches it full growing and health potential Meet the requirements? This year, we are offering a variety of tree species, from fruit trees, to evergreens, to large canopy trees. The Free Backyard Tree Planting project addresses Davenport's lack of existing green space and canopy cover.
